First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
photobiomodulation (low-level light therapy)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a non-invasive way to reduce stress and possibly seizure frequency in people with epilepsy.
What could go wrong
This is an early study with no control group, so results may be due to placebo. The effect on seizures is uncertain, and the time commitment is high.
