First seen Feb 13, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at whether lifestyle changes—like regular exercise, cognitive training, and a Mediterranean diet—can help prevent memory and thinking problems in people aged 50 to 80 who have depression or depressive symptoms but no current cognitive decline. Researchers will compare three groups over 12 weeks, measuring mood, memory, and gut health. The goal is to find practical ways to protect brain health in those at risk.
