NCT ID NCT07332273

First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a low dose of levothyroxine (a thyroid hormone medication) to a healthy diet and exercise program helps people with obesity lose more weight and keep it off. About 286 adults aged 25-60 with mild to moderate obesity and slightly high thyroid levels will take either the drug or a placebo for 9 months. The goal is to see if the drug boosts early weight loss and prevents weight regain compared to lifestyle changes alone.
