New web tool helps dementia patients and families plan ahead

Summary
This study tests a web-based tool called LEAD that helps people in the early stages of Alzheimer's or dementia talk about and document their end-of-life wishes with a care partner. The goal is to see if the tool improves decision-making confidence and reduces anxiety for both the person with memory changes and their loved one. About 120 pairs (person with early dementia and their care partner) will take part.
