First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looked at whether laughter yoga, a practice that combines breathing, relaxation, and intentional laughter, can reduce symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and improve quality of life. Sixty-nine young women aged 18-25 with PMS took part in eight laughter yoga sessions over four weeks, plus daily home practice. The goal was to see if this fun, drug-free approach could help manage common PMS symptoms like mood changes and physical discomfort.
