Laser acupuncture shows promise for stiff arteries in metabolic syndrome
NCT ID NCT07543211
First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests whether laser acupuncture can improve arterial stiffness in people with cardiorenal metabolic syndrome (CRMS), a condition linking heart, kidney, and metabolic problems. 35 adults with at least two related conditions (like high blood pressure, diabetes, or chronic kidney disease) will receive laser acupuncture on specific points for 12 weeks. The main goal is to see if this treatment can make arteries more flexible, potentially easing the burden of these interconnected diseases.
