Summary

This study tested whether L-carnitine, a natural supplement, can reduce pain, stiffness, and improve physical function in people with mild to moderate knee osteoarthritis. 66 adults with knee pain and X-ray evidence of arthritis took either L-carnitine or a placebo. Researchers measured symptoms using a standard knee questionnaire and also checked markers of inflammation and oxidative stress.
