Summary

This pilot study tested whether a very low carbohydrate ketogenic diet or a Mediterranean diet affects bone health and muscle function in older adults. Twelve postmenopausal adults followed each diet for six weeks. The goal was to see if these diets are safe and worth studying further for age-related muscle decline.
