Summary
This study tested an experimental drug called KBP-5074 in 162 adults with moderate-to-severe chronic kidney disease and high blood pressure that wasn't controlled by other medications. The goal was to see if the drug could safely lower blood pressure and reduce kidney damage over 84 days. Participants were randomly assigned to receive either the drug or a placebo, and neither they nor their doctors knew which they received.
