This study tests a new injection called JMT202 in 48 Chinese adults with very high triglycerides (a type of fat in the blood). The goal is to see if it is safe and can lower triglyceride levels. Participants will receive either the drug or a placebo over several doses, and researchers will monitor for side effects and changes in lab results.

What this could lead to
If successful, this could lead to a new treatment option for people with very high triglycerides, potentially reducing their risk of heart disease and pancreatitis.
What could go wrong
This is an early-phase trial with only 48 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The drug's safety and effectiveness are still unproven, and side effects are possible.
