Summary

This study follows 5,391 people with stable heart disease for up to 10 years to see which initial treatment approach helps people live longer. Participants were originally assigned to either receive heart procedures plus medications or medications alone. Researchers are now tracking long-term survival to determine if one strategy leads to better outcomes over time.
