Gut toxins may predict diabetes in lean individuals

Summary

This observational study aims to understand if toxins from gut bacteria are linked to early signs of diabetes in lean people with prediabetes. Researchers will measure blood markers of gut toxins and insulin-producing cell function in 120 participants. The goal is to find new ways to prevent diabetes in this group.
