Lung cancer and sleepless nights: new study investigates
NCT ID NCT06472804
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at how often insomnia occurs in people with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. Researchers will ask 60 patients to fill out a sleep questionnaire. The goal is simply to measure the problem, not to test a treatment.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help doctors better understand and screen for sleep problems in lung cancer patients, potentially improving quality of life.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study with no treatment being tested, so it won't directly improve sleep or cancer outcomes. Results may not apply to all patients.
