Scientists probe immune cell secrets to unravel inflammation

NCT ID NCT00397280

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study aims to understand how certain immune cells (neutrophils and monocytes) sense signals in the body and what substances they produce, which can lead to inflammation. Healthy adults aged 18-65 who weigh at least 110 pounds can participate by donating blood up to six times a year. The blood is used in lab experiments to examine cell responses, helping researchers learn more about how the body reacts to disease-related conditions.
