Summary

This study was designed to investigate whether an overactive immune system contributes to heart valve damage in people with infective endocarditis, a serious bacterial infection of the heart. Researchers planned to analyze immune cells in the blood and heart tissue of affected patients. However, the study was withdrawn before enrolling any participants, so no results are available.
