Iron and vitamins may boost recovery in heart infection patients
NCT ID NCT07523646
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether adding anemia treatment (iron, vitamins, and a hormone that boosts red blood cells) to standard care helps people with a serious heart valve infection feel better and walk farther. About 74 adults with both the infection and anemia will be enrolled. The goal is to see if this extra treatment improves strength and oxygen levels without causing harm.
