Summary
This study reviewed the medical records of 140 adults who had heart surgery for a severe heart infection called infective endocarditis. The goal was to see how many patients survived 30 days after surgery and what factors led to complications. Researchers also tracked infections and survival at 6 and 12 months after surgery to better understand long-term results.
