New blood thinner combo tested to prevent strokes after brain aneurysm surgery

NCT ID NCT07089862

Summary

This study compares two combinations of blood-thinning medications given to patients after minimally invasive brain aneurysm repair. Researchers want to see if using indobufen instead of aspirin, when combined with clopidogrel, better prevents blood clots and strokes while causing fewer bleeding problems. The study involves 2,500 adults with unruptured brain aneurysms who will take the medications for about 6 months after their procedure.
