New blood thinner may beat aspirin for aneurysm patients

NCT ID NCT07089862

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests if a drug called indobufen works better than aspirin at preventing strokes and blood clots after a brain aneurysm is fixed with a stent or coil. About 2,500 people with unruptured brain aneurysms will take either indobufen or aspirin, plus clopidogrel, for 6 months after their procedure. Researchers will track strokes, bleeding, and other complications to see which regimen is safer and more effective.
