Summary

This study looked at how the pressure used in mechanical ventilators affects the right side of the heart in people with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Researchers measured lung pressure and heart function in 50 adults and children. The goal was to find out if high lung pressure can lead to heart failure and worse outcomes.
