First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at two treatments for mild autonomous cortisol secretion (MACS), a condition where the body makes too much cortisol. Researchers will compare adrenalectomy (surgery to remove an adrenal gland) with semaglutide (a weight-management drug) to see which better improves insulin resistance and other health measures. About 75 adults with MACS or similar health issues will take part over 26-30 weeks.
