Can a diabetes drug fix lingering health issues after adrenal surgery?

NCT ID NCT07573163

First seen May 25, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026

Summary

This study looks at adults with mild autonomous cortisol secretion (MACS), a condition where an adrenal gland makes too much cortisol, often causing high blood pressure, diabetes, and weight gain. Even after surgical removal of the gland, some patients still have these problems. The trial will test if adding tirzepatide after surgery helps control blood pressure and other metabolic issues better than surgery alone.
