NCT ID NCT07268222

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study compares two medications, metyrapone and osilodrostat, to see which works better and has fewer side effects for people with mild autonomous cortisol secretion (MACS), a condition where the body makes too much cortisol. About 150 adults with adrenal adenomas or hyperplasia who are not having surgery will take one of the drugs for 6 months. Researchers will measure hormone levels, blood pressure, weight, blood sugar, and bone density to find the best treatment option.
