Brain scan study aims to spot tau protein in rare dementias

Summary

This study uses a special PET scan to measure tau protein buildup in the brains of people with frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD), atypical Alzheimer's disease, and healthy volunteers. Researchers want to see if this scan can help tell these conditions apart. About 72 adults will take part.
