This study tests whether a personalized blood transfusion approach, based on oxygen levels, is better than the standard method for people on a heart-lung machine (ECMO) due to severe heart failure. About 236 adults will be randomly assigned to one of two strategies to see which reduces the number of blood transfusions needed. The goal is to improve care and reduce complications from transfusions.
