First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding whole-body hyperthermia (a treatment that safely raises body temperature) to standard cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) could help adults with major depression. Thirty participants received either real or sham heat sessions alongside weekly therapy. The main goals were to see if people found the treatment acceptable and if it improved depression symptoms.
