NCT ID NCT07560878

First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study aims to understand how continuous theta-burst stimulation (cTBS), a form of transcranial magnetic stimulation, changes brain activity in people with depression. Researchers will test whether cTBS works by weakening overactive brain connections or by boosting the brain's natural braking system. Participants will receive cTBS along with different FDA-approved medications that affect brain chemicals, and brain activity will be measured with EEG. The goal is to improve future personalized treatments for depression.
