What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
standard of care cancer treatment (drug therapy)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that giving cancer treatment at home is safe and preferred by patients, potentially reducing stress and improving quality of life.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-phase trial with only 38 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. There is also a risk that home treatment could lead to more side effects or emergency visits.
