Can Spot-Jogging at home help heart failure patients as much as gym rehab?

NCT ID NCT06756659

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study compares two types of cardiac rehabilitation for heart failure patients: a home-based program using spot-jogging (jogging in place) and a standard outpatient program at a medical center. Forty adults with heart failure will be assigned to one of the two groups. Researchers will measure exercise capacity and quality of life to see if the home option works as well as the supervised center-based program.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
spot-jogging exercise program
What this could lead to
If successful, this could offer a convenient, effective home-based exercise option for heart failure patients, potentially improving access to cardiac rehabilitation.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-phase study with only 40 participants, so results may not apply to all heart failure patients. The home program may be less effective or harder to follow than supervised center-based rehab.
