Could your living room replace a hospital bed?

NCT ID NCT03524222

First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests whether adults with sudden illnesses like infections, heart failure, or asthma can be safely treated at home instead of in a hospital. About 3,000 participants will receive hospital-level care in their own homes, with a caregiver present for the first 24 hours. The goal is to see if home care is just as safe and effective, while reducing costs and improving patient comfort.
