First seen Dec 24, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a personalized 6-month home walking program could reduce dangerous bleeding inside neck artery plaque in 56 patients who had significant blockages but were not having surgery. Participants either wore a step counter with monthly step goals or received usual care. The main goal was to see if the walking group had less plaque bleeding on MRI scans after 6 months.
