AI camera could replace wires for heart monitoring
NCT ID NCT07248969
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a new camera-based system called HERO that uses artificial intelligence to measure heart rate, breathing, oxygen levels, and even detect pain or emotions in hospital patients. About 100 adults with heart conditions will be monitored with both the camera and standard wired monitors to see if the camera measurements are accurate. The goal is to find a contactless way to keep patients safe without needing wires or extra staff.
