First seen May 28, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at whether different ways of measuring a patient's height change the risk of lung injury from ventilators in people with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Researchers will measure 39 adults using five methods (stadiometer, visual guess, tape, laser, and heel-to-knee) and see how each affects lung stress. The goal is to find the most accurate method to set safer ventilator settings.
