Heart stent showdown: which tiny tube keeps arteries open longer?

NCT ID NCT04390672

Summary

This study is comparing two different types of biodegradable heart stents (SUPRAFLEX Cruz vs. SYNERGY) in patients with severe blockages in all three major heart arteries. About 1,550 participants will have the stents placed and be followed for at least a year to see which stent leads to fewer serious heart problems, strokes, or repeat procedures. The goal is to determine if the newer SUPRAFLEX Cruz stent is at least as safe and effective as the established SYNERGY stent.
