First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looked at 116 people who had a cardiac arrest outside the hospital and were treated with a special heart-lung machine called ECMO. The goal was to see how well their heart pumped blood 28 days and 90 days later. Researchers measured heart function using ultrasound to understand recovery patterns in these very sick patients.
