First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tested a new way to screen for heart failure during regular checkups with a general practitioner. 216 adults aged 65 and older without known heart problems took part. Doctors used a questionnaire, a blood test, and a heart ultrasound to find early signs of the disease. The goal was to see if this approach could help diagnose heart failure sooner and more easily in everyday medical care.
