Are western heart failure risk scores accurate for egyptians? new study aims to find out.
NCT ID NCT07194889
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study will test three heart failure risk models (MAGGIC, GWTG-HF, and SHFM) in 140 Egyptian patients to see how well they predict death and hospital readmission. These models were created using mostly Western patients, so they may not be accurate for Egyptians, who tend to be younger and have different health issues. The goal is to adjust the models to better fit the local population and improve care.
