Skin patch could replace blood tests for heart failure monitoring
NCT ID NCT06200636
First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looked at whether signs of heart failure can be found in fluid just under the skin, instead of in blood. Twenty heart failure patients had their skin fluid tested during exercise. The goal was to see if this painless method could help predict when the disease gets worse and when treatment is needed.
