Summary

This study aims to find out why people of South Asian descent have higher rates of heart disease and stroke, even when typical risk factors are accounted for. Researchers are following over 2,300 South Asian adults in the US for several years to identify new causes. The goal is to compare these findings with other ethnic groups to improve future prevention strategies.
