NCT ID NCT07171580
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether digital health tools can help people recover safely at home after a heart attack. Researchers will compare two types of follow-up care: education alone versus education plus extra support like symptom tracking and virtual appointments. The goal is to reduce emergency visits and improve mental well-being for 300 patients in Manitoba.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
digital health platform (remote education and support)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could create a better support system for heart attack survivors, reducing hospital visits and improving recovery, especially for rural patients.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage study with 300 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. Technology barriers or lack of engagement could limit its effectiveness.
