Study aims to uncover why some women develop diabetes in pregnancy

NCT ID NCT06571487

First seen Nov 16, 2025

Summary

This study looks at how growth hormone affects beta-cells, which make insulin to control blood sugar, in women who had gestational diabetes. Researchers will compare women with and without a history of gestational diabetes to better understand risk factors. The goal is to learn more about what causes this condition, not to test a new treatment.
