Graphene fillings could save teens' teeth from painful decay

NCT ID NCT07329244

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests a new type of dental filling made with graphene for teenagers aged 10-16 who have weak enamel (called MIH) on their back teeth. The filling is custom-made using a computer and is designed to be strong and long-lasting. Researchers will check how well the filling holds up over 12 months, including pain, wear, and color. This is not a cure for weak enamel, but it aims to protect the teeth and reduce discomfort.
