First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study followed 90 veterans with obesity who took GLP-1 medicines (semaglutide or tirzepatide) for six months. Researchers found that participants reported significant improvements in depression symptoms, eating disorder behaviors, and overall quality of life, including better sleep and less pain. The goal was to see if these drugs, already used for weight loss, could also help mental health.
