NCT ID NCT06843512
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study looks at how GLP-1 medications (like Ozempic or Wegovy) affect people's attitudes toward food and what they choose to eat. Researchers will use a virtual reality buffet to measure food selections before starting the medication and again after three months. The goal is to understand changes in food preferences and nutrient balance in 25 adults with overweight or obesity.

What this could lead to
If successful, this could help doctors understand how GLP-1 drugs change food choices, potentially leading to better nutritional guidance for people taking these medications.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early observational study with only 25 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. It does not test the drug's effectiveness or safety.
