New glaucoma surgery combo aims to cut eye pressure and medication dependence

NCT ID NCT07073937

Summary

This study looks back at the three-year results of a combined glaucoma surgery. Researchers are checking if using two different minimally invasive techniques together during cataract surgery works better than cataract surgery alone to lower eye pressure. They will review the records of 100 patients with open-angle glaucoma to see if the combined procedure helps reduce the need for glaucoma eye drops and protects vision over time.
