Elderly bladder cancer patients may recover faster with Pre-Surgery geriatric assessment
NCT ID NCT05679557
First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA) before bladder cancer surgery helps older, frail patients recover better. About 140 patients aged 65 and older with muscle-invasive bladder cancer will receive either standard care or a CGA with tailored interventions. The main goal is to see if the CGA increases the number of days patients are alive and out of the hospital within 90 days after surgery.
