Genetic blueprint may guide smarter cancer therapy

NCT ID NCT05032092

First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at whether analyzing the genes of a tumor (from a tissue sample or a blood draw) can help doctors pick a more effective treatment for people with advanced solid cancers that have stopped responding to standard therapies. About 235 participants will have their tumor genes mapped, and researchers will compare how long their cancer stays under control on the gene-matched treatment versus their previous therapy. The goal is to see if this personalized approach can slow cancer growth.
