Michigan study tests new ways to boost cancer gene testing

NCT ID NCT05162846

Summary

This study tested two new methods to encourage people at higher risk for hereditary cancers to get recommended genetic testing. Over 800 participants in Michigan were randomly assigned to either use a special website, receive two coaching phone calls, or get standard information. The goal was to see which approach was most effective at getting people to complete genetic testing within six months.
