Scientists hunt for hidden signs that foretell heart surgery dangers

NCT ID NCT07345403

First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looks at 3,000 adults having planned heart surgery to find out if things like genes, blood markers, and even voice recordings can help predict serious complications such as kidney injury, delirium, or bleeding. Researchers will collect samples and data before, during, and after surgery, then compare those who develop problems with those who don't. The goal is to create better tools for early detection and personalized care, not to test a new treatment.
