First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This early study tests whether MRI-guided focused ultrasound can safely reduce symptoms in adults with severe obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) that hasn't improved with standard treatments. Ten participants will receive the ultrasound procedure and complete brain scans and symptom questionnaires before and after. The main goals are to check for side effects and see if symptoms like compulsions and anxiety improve.
