First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether eating at least 6 servings of fermented foods daily for 10 weeks can improve bowel function and gut health in adults with chronic spinal cord injury. Participants will be randomly assigned to either a high-fermented-food diet or a control diet. The researchers will measure changes in gut bacteria, inflammation, and bowel symptoms to see if this dietary approach is feasible and effective.
